Fake job ads waste your time. Sometimes they take your money too. You spend an hour fixing your resume, answer a long form, then someone asks for a “registration fee.” That’s usually the moment you should stop. A real employer doesn’t need your wallet before they even know you.<\/p>\n
Some fake listings look almost perfect. The logo is copied. The job title sounds normal. Even the email feels close enough if you don’t look twice. But little things give them away. Strange payment requests. Pressure to reply right now. Promises of huge pay for very little work. I don’t trust those offers at all.<\/p>\n
Before you report anything, keep proof. Take screenshots. Save the messages. Don’t delete the email because you’re annoyed. You’ll forget details later, and that tiny screenshot with the payment request often says more than a long explanation.<\/p>\n
\u2022 A screenshot of the job ad, even if it looks boring now, often becomes the most useful piece later.<\/p>\n
\u2022 If the conversation moved to a chat app, save those messages because fake recruiters sometimes erase them.<\/p>\n
\u2022 The payment request, if there was one, deserves its own screenshot. It tells the story without much effort.<\/p>\n
Start with the website where you found the job. Most job platforms have a report option. Use it. Then report the account if the contact happened through social media. If someone pretended to represent a real company, tell that company too. They usually want to know because fake recruiters damage their name.<\/p>\n
And if money was involved, report the fraud to your local cybercrime authority or police. Waiting rarely makes things better. People sometimes hope the scammer will suddenly become honest. That never seems to happen.<\/p>\n
